The Opengear OM2200 Operations Manager streamlines key actions within the NetOps workflow, as a core component of the NetOps Automation? platform. The enhanced white box solution enables secure, automated Provisioning over LTE-A even before the production network is live, and allows the configuration and management of remote network applications. With x86 64 bit architecture, the OM2200 provides a secure Python runtime environment, supporting Opengear and third party NetOps Modules, out-of-band management and more.

Presence & Proximity:
With an Opengear appliance at every enterprise location, network teams have visibility across their IT infrastructure through the Lighthouse platform, and proximity to all their network devices. Opengear console servers with Smart Out-of-Band provide alerts before issues occur, while the OM2200 adds a layer of automation to data centers and large deployments.
Secure Provisioning:
An OM2200 appliance is incorporated in the initial rack shipped to a location; once powered on, it calls home over the embedded cellular module (TPM safeguards are embedded in the unit to ensure that the firmware, configurations and authentication keys have not been tampered with prior to installation). The Lighthouse software automatically pushes image, configuration and script files to the OM2200, which then provisions the other hardware devices at the location ? providing secure zero-touch provisioning to the entire local infrastructure from a single appliance, without human intervention.
Vendor-Neutral / Open Architecture
As enterprises expand their NetOps capabilities, the range of workflows that need to be automated from the OM2200 will continue to develop. With Docker support and Python, Ruby, Perl and bash runtime environments, new modules can be created by third-party developers to meet these needs. These will be accessible through the Lighthouse interface.
Use consistent workflows to provision and manage networking devices from Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Huawei, Aruba, Cumulus, Pica and white box.
Cellular Out-Of-Band Access
Embedded LTE-A provides uninterrupted automation of workflows prior to availability of production IP network and during network outages. Switch carrier networks anytime with up to three different certified firmware variants on board.
Lighthouse Centralized Management
A clear view across the network, providing a secure, vendor-neutral window to all network devices. Designed for a NetOps environment, Lighthouse provides access to managed devices through a single interface, allowing simple deployment and monitoring of your network equipment. Containerized NetOps Modules provide a range of capabilities focused on the efficient management of the NetOps environment, such as Secure Provisioning and Event Management. A RESTful API enables users to integrate the platform with existing communication channels, and native support of Cisco and Avocent console servers provides access to the entire infrastructure.
